Intermediate Tracking - Long Beach

From 4.00pm until 5.00pm

At Mill Ln Property

18001 Mill Lane, Long Beach, WA 98631

$150 for 4 sessions

This tracking class will last for 1 hour per session in Winlock, WA. This group will meet 4 Fridays in a row (4/14-5/5) to work on basic scent work for ground tracking. Cost is $150 (per dog) for all 4 sessions due on or before the 14th.

If interested please contact me either by e-mail (arnicadia@gmail.com,) on my main facebook page (Cati Foss,) or at 503-468-2559 (text and voicemail accepted,) so I can send you an enrollment form and get some information about you and your pooch! My class size is limited to 10 dogs only and on a first come first served basis! You must send me a completed enrollment form before the 14th to guarantee a spot! If you show up the day of the class, you might be turned away if the class is already full.

Make sure that you bring your standard leash or a long line that you don't mind getting dirty (retractable leashes are not allowed,) a non-corrective collar or harness your dog CAN'T escape from as well as an additional collar or harness that you normally walk them in, plenty of training treats and a slightly hungry dog that is willing to learn as well as making sure I can see a copy of your dog's current vaccinations! All dogs must remain in a car or crate at all times when not being worked!

As a note, this class is a foundational starting point for AKC tracking or just for a fun activity for you and your dog! This class will very heavily focus on the use of scent articles and how to indicate them properly from a competition standpoint (dogs must know a sit or down command for this level.) We will also continue to increase the difficulty of the tracks the dogs can successfully complete. All dogs are welcome as they will not be allowed to interact at any point in time, human reactive dogs must wear a muzzle at all times while being worked.
