Manners/ Obedience 3

From 4.00pm until 5.00pm

At Hammond KOA

$125

This Basic Manners class will last for 1 hour per session and will meet 4 weeks in a row (no class 12/23 or 12/30) to work on expanding on obedience basics, heel training, and building a stronger attention span while expanding on distance commands and placement behaviors. Dogs will also learn the basics of off leash training while around other dogs. Cost is $125 for all 4 sessions due before the start of class. All ages (10 weeks and older) are welcome for obedience classes. The 3rd level is with the assumption that your dog knows sit, down, stand, touch, come, stay, heel, and place around mild to moderate distractions with a loose leash.) Participants must have successfully completed Manners/Obedience 2 (or equivalent level of Obedience,) PLUS Trainer approval, Private lessons, Novice/Intermediate Rally, CGC/A/U, Trick Dog, or Intro to Scent Discrimination to be considered for this class)

Class is held in the Hammond KOA. COVID-19 restrictions include: you must check in at the front office for a pass to be on the campground, class will be held in the Bigfoot Building in the back of the campground (follow the signs that read BFB,) only 1 handler allowed per dog per county restrictions of limiting gatherings to 10 people or less and mandatory contact tracing accountability. Upon arrival, you must wash your hands and wear a face covering while indoors (or outdoors within 6’ of another team while entering the building.)

If interested please complete a registration form on arnicadia.com. All questions should be directed to my e-mail (arnicadia@gmail.com,) my main Facebook page (Cati Foss,) or my phone 503-468-2559 (voicemail accepted!) My class size is limited to 6 dogs only and on a first come first served basis!

Bring a towel, blanket, cot, or dog bed to the first lesson and each subsequent lesson that you don’t mind being on the ground. Make sure that you bring your standard leash (retractable leashes are not allowed,) a collar or halter your dog CAN'T escape from (no harnesses,) plenty of training treats, pick up bags, water, and a slightly hungry dog that is willing to learn as well as making sure I can get a copy of your dog's current vaccinations if I don’t already have them on file! All teams must maintain a distance of 6' or more from each other at all times unless otherwise specified for safety.
