N-M Rally Obedience

From 5.00pm until 6.00pm

At Hammond KOA

$125

This rally class will last for 1 hour per session and will meet 5 weeks in a row to work on novice/intermediate/ or Advanced/Excellent or Master level rally obedience (Advanced/Excellent and Master is only available to those who have completed Manners/Obedience 3 or with Trainer approval.) Cost is $125 for all 5 sessions due before the start of class.

Class is held in the Bigfoot Building near the back of the KOA campground in Hammond. All students MUST check in at the front building on the first night for a pass to be in the campground.

If interested please complete a registration form on arnicadia.com. All questions should be directed to my e-mail (arnicadia@gmail.com,) my main page (Cati Foss,) or my phone 503-468-2559 (text and voicemail accepted!) My class size is limited to 6 dogs only and on a first come first served basis!

Make sure that you bring your standard leash (retractable leashes are not allowed,) a collar or halter (all harnesses not recommended!,) plenty of training treats and a slightly hungry dog that is willing to learn as well as making sure I can get a copy of your dog's current vaccinations if I don’t already have them on file! All dogs must remain in a car or crate at all times when not being worked!

As a note, this class is a foundational starting point for those interested in AKC/ASCA Rally Obedience either recreationally or competitively! Rally obedience (also known as Rally or Rally-O) is a dog sport based on obedience. Unlike regular obedience, instead of waiting for the judge's orders, the competitors proceed around a course of designated stations with the dog in heel position. The course consists of 10 to 20 signs that instruct the team what to do. Unlike traditional obedience, handlers are allowed to encourage their dogs during the course.

All non-aggressive dogs are welcome as they will not be allowed to interact at any point in time. (Dogs are required to be crated, placed, or in the car between each turn.)
